Scouting
Boy Scouts of America (2019-Ongoing)
Scouting has been a big part of my life. I started in 2nd grade as a Cub Scout and continued all the way to earning the highest rank of Eagle Scout. Over the years, I participated in countless service activities, campouts, and hikes, each one teaching me something new about responsibility and leadership. I learned how to plan projects, work with others, lead groups of people, and become more independent. These experiences shaped who I am today and helped me build confidence and discipline.
Eagle Scout Project
While brainstorming for my Eagle Scout Project, I wanted to make something impactful and combines both engineering and community service. I designed and led the construction of a solar-powered interactive interpretive board at San Dieguito Park to promote sustainable energy. My board has engaging pictures, diagrams, and text with several audio buttons, powered by a solar panel, that viewers can push for fun facts, jokes, explanations, and a quiz. I led a team of community leaders, including scouts, high school friends, park rangers, and relatives, to help me achieve my goal.
